In Alpharetta, GA, Action Septic Tank Service located and repaired this septic system that was found underneath a concrete sidewalk. See the attached photos.

Prior to servicing the system, we excavated and removed the concrete overtop the septic tank. Then, we pumped the tank, replaced the main line and cleaned the filter. To eliminate the need for future digging, we added risers onto the tank. We poured back the concrete section of the sidewalk to complete the work.

Sewer Line Repair, Roswell, GA

In Roswell, GA, Action Septic Tank Service used a video camera to locate a break in a sewer line. See the attached photo.

On this job, the customer had backups in the home and surfacing effluent in the yard. To find the problem, we used a video camera to look closely inside the main sewer line. There we found a line break. To fix, we replaced 15 feet of line so that the water would properly flow.

Video cameras are used to accurately evaluate the condition of septic and sewer lines. A line with an attached camera runs through the entire pipe and transmits images in real time. Video cameras are used in various ways including locating and assessing line breaks, damaged lines, blockages, leaks and grease buildup.

In Milton, GA, Action Septic Tank Service repaired a homeowner's septic system. See the attached photo grid showing some of our work.

Part of this job included excavating the tanks and cleaning the septic filter. We also installed three new heavy duty lids with access ports on all three holes.

Septic lids must be properly attached and secured so that unauthorized access is prohibited. Broken or cracked lids can weaken and collapse which may cause serious accidents. Exposure to raw sewage is also very dangerous because it contains harmful bacteria which could lead to serious illness and infection.

Dunwoody, GA Septic Tank Service

In Dunwoody, GA, Action Septic Tank Service repaired this septic system. Take a look at the attached photo grid to see some of our work.

Prior to this repair, the septic system was backing up. We discovered that the drainfield was clogged with tree roots. Also, the outlet baffle was deteriorated and allowed solids to pass into the drainfield. This created an even bigger blockage.

To fix, we pumped the septic tank and replaced the outlet baffle. We removed the blocked section of drainfield line and added a new pipe. This made the system properly flow again. To help avoid excavating the septic tank for future service, we also installed a new septic lid with an access port and risers.

In Alpharetta, GA, Action Septic Tank Service repaired a blocked septic system. The attached photo on top shows the water incorrectly coming out of the clean-out. The video on the bottom shows the water properly flowing following the repair.

Prior to this repair, the tee was completely clogged with grease and detergents. This put the septic system under too much pressure and caused the water to shoot out of the clean-out. To fix, we unclogged the tee so that the water would effectively make its way through the system.

Action Septic Tank Service recommends keeping fats, oils and grease from going down your drains. Have the tee checked during your regular septic service. Install a septic filter to catch the solids and help extend the life of your drainfield. Pump your septic tank every 2-3 years and treat your system monthly.

Roswell, GA Baffle Replacement

In Roswell, GA, Action Septic Tank Service replaced an outlet baffle and line going out to the drainfield. See the attached photo grid.

The outlet baffle prevents floating scum and sewage from exiting the septic tank and entering and clogging the drainfield. When properly installed, the outlet baffle keeps the effluent correctly moving from the clear zone to the next part of the septic tank.

Baffles must be properly installed or they can quickly deteriorate and not function properly. They should be checked at the time of your septic inspection.

Many times, an effluent screen is also added at the outlet baffle to help keep the scum and sludge from leaving the tank. Regular cleaning is necessary to ensure your effluent screen works effectively.
